Introducing Traditional Indian Attar Shamama.

The heart of Shamama Attar lies in its rich and complex composition, combining floral, woody, and spicy notes with a touch of Oriental mystique. The fragrance unfolds with the heady and intoxicating aroma of the numerous exotic botanicals collected from the mountains ranges of Northern India and Nepal. As the scent develops, warm and woody undertones emerge.

Attar Shamama is considered warming and typically suitable for winters. The long-lasting nature of this attar ensures that its heady aroma lingers on the skin, for hours.

✨PLEASE NOTE: Attar Shamama is hot, spicy and bitter, much like a morning stroll through an Indian spice market. Given its strong aromatic profile, Attar Shamama is a tad bit too much for most people.

ARTISANSHIP: 
✨Crafted using the traditional deg-bhapka distillation methods of North India, each distillation house has its unique mix of botanicals to distinguish the notes of their Shamama. Ours comes from traders that have been in the Attar business for more than two centuries.

✨ Attar Shamama lasted on my skin for several hours. The effect and time varies from person to person depending on the season, how the attar interacts with the skin and where it applied. The common points of application are inside the wrists, behind the ears and neck. Hydrated skin holds fragrance longer.

Oudh Manipur Musk transported me to the Kashmir of the 70s, wandering through ancient markets and my great uncle's cosmetics shop. Inhaling Taif Rose brought back the aroma of my grandfather's garden in the 80s.

Ruh Motia recalls 90s strolls through the streets of Kipling’s Mussoorie, while natural Deer Musk embodies the warmth of winter mornings at the foothills of the Sivaliks. Attar Shamama encompasses the essence of a decades-old South Indian spice market, and Ruh Khus captures the earthy notes of wet grass after monsoon rains.

Arabian lands are evoked by the Ouds, with Cambodian Oudh reminiscent of the 80s Bedouins selling wild honey in the South Arabian mountains. Assam Oudh embodies the Sacred Precinct of Mecca, and Oudh Amiri brings memories of touching the Ancient House. Medina, the Illumined, is like a melody—a place where the heart grows still and the air is tranquil with angelic presence. Here, Oudh Merauke becomes a soothing balm.
