Large Disc Prayer Beads 12 mm - Central African Wenge
Beautifully handmade with close attention to detail and the user in mind, this prayer bead has 99 disc shaped beads measuring 12 mm by 7 mm. The smooth finish allows the fingers to move effortlessly over the beads and makes for a good companion for the most meaningful of journeys.

- 99 beads, with two large separators at 33
- Two small separators at 11.
- The gap between beads can be adjusted based on one's preference.

WOOD:
Heartwood of Wenge (Millettia laurentii) is medium brown, sometimes with a reddish or yellowish hue, and nearly black streaks. The wood is lightweight with a straight grain. It has excellent strength and hardness properties which makes it practical for larger beads. Wenge can be difficult to work with and tends to blunt tool edges. The wood has a slight sweet aroma.
Note: If oil is applied, the wood can become nearly black. However, unlike most other dark hardwoods, the heartwood of wenge can lighten (rather than darken) when exposed to sunlight.
