This stunning shawl in fine needlework has a sunflower medallion at the center which is surrounded by a lattice border and four paisley at the corners. The medallion and the lattice border are filled with miniature rose motifs. This is last remaining masterpiece from a set made by our farmer-artisans in 2017 and 2018 and frankly the pictures don't do it justice.
The fabric for the scarf is a premium soft wool that is woven in Kashmir on old-world mechanized looms that produce about five-six scarves a day. They are subsequently hand-dyed and then the farmer-artisans in the villages embroider the motifs using patterns and skills that have been passed down the generations .
Apart from their elegance, the light weight premium wool provides warmth without being bulky, which makes them a handy companion for many seasons and occasions.
