Traveller Extra Large 33 Disc Prayer Beads 14 mm
Beautifully handmade with close attention to detail and the user in mind, this extra large prayer bead has 33 disc shaped beads measuring 14 mm by 12 mm. The silky smooth finish allows the fingers to move effortlessly over the beads and makes for a good companion for the most meaningful of journeys.

WOOD:
This Tamarind Heartwood (Tamarindus Indica) is a deep reddish brown, with a wavy grain and uniform texture. This wood is heavier than our other woods due to its density (This 14mm disc weighs the same as the 16 mm rosewood disc), but still lightweight and more practical for larger beads in my estimation. This wood does not have a characteristic scent, but we complement ours with premium Oud, which should stay on the wood for some time and can be reapplied. Note: These beads are made from upcycled wood and no new wood has been used.
ARTISANSHIP:
All our prayer beads are made entirely by hand by a Javanese master artisan, using a traditional lathe. Because of its density and interlocked grain, Tamarind Heartwood is considered difficult to work and has a blunting effect on tools. With a trained artisanal hand, this heartwood takes a high natural polish.
