Extra Large Round Prayer Beads 15 mm - Rosewood
Beautifully handmade with close attention to detail and the user in mind, this extra large prayer bead has 99, 15 mm round beads. The smooth finish allows the fingers to move effortlessly over the beads and makes for a good companion for the most meaningful of journeys.
QUALITIES:
- Artisanal - entirely hand-made using traditional lathe.
- 99 beads, with two large separators at 33
- Two small separators at 10, and a separate pause marker.
- The gap between beads can be adjusted based on one's preference.

WOOD:
The Heartwood of East Indian Rosewood (Dalbergia Latifolia) has a medium texture, fairly small pores and the grain is usually narrowly interlocked. The colour can vary from a golden brown to a deep purplish brown, with darker brown streaks. The wood darkens with age, usually becoming a deep brown.
The wood has a distinct, rose-like scent. We complement ours with pure Indonesian Oud, which should stay on the wood for some time and can be reapplied. This wood is lightweight and more practical for larger beads in my estimation. These beads are made from vintage or upcycled wood and no new wood has been used.
ARTISANSHIP:
All our prayer beads are made entirely by hand by a Javanese master artisan, using a traditional lathe. Because of its density and interlocked grain, Rosewood can be difficult to work with tools.
